Resin print cost, and resin vs PLA
What a resin print costs once resin, FEP film, screen wear, power and cleanup are counted, and the same part printed in PLA beside it. Resin prices come from the makers' own US stores, with the date.

Standard resin prices at the makers' stores
Prices shown on each maker's US store on Oct 17, 2026. Both stores were running sales; the "regular" column is the crossed-out price they displayed. Prices change often.
How this is calculated
- Resin = mL used × (1 + extra %) × density ÷ 1,000 × bottle price ÷ bottle kg. Resin is sold by weight but slicers report volume, so density converts between them.
- Electricity = watts ÷ 1,000 × hours × rate.
- FEP film = price per sheet ÷ prints per sheet. Screen = screen price ÷ screen life hours × print hours.
- Consumables are added as entered.
- Same part in PLA = grams × spool price ÷ 1,000 + FDM watts ÷ 1,000 × FDM hours × rate. Machine depreciation, labor and failures are left out of both sides; the hourly rate page covers machine cost.
Resin printers' power, FEP and screen life vary a lot by model and use, and makers don't publish average power or rated screen life consistently, so those fields are examples. A plug-in power meter gives you the real wattage.
